If you regularly dye your hair then you will know the pain of colour fading, especially if you have a high maintenance shade like red or blonde. In fact, it is tough to keep the vitality to any hair shade once the initial colour washes out. Therefore I suggest trying Bumble and Bumbles Colour Support Shampoo and Conditioner. There are 5 shades in the range, covering both cool and warm shades. That was a real winner for me, you don’t want your ashy blonde looking ginger – which can happen if you are using a warm tone, which most high street brands tend to be.
I’ve been trialling them for the past couple of weeks and I must say it has made a real difference. I have blond, coloured treated hair. Normally 3 weeks after getting highlights I find that the colour can start to look stale and lacklustre. This system helps to keep the colour looking fresh. More importantly it doesn’t strip the hair. It has a low pH, meaning it does not unbalance the oil ratio and therefore avoids stripping. It also smooths the cuticle, helping to keep frizzy hair at bay. I alternate it with my regular shampoo, just remember to avoid using any other shampoo before using Colour Support Conditioner, as it may leave a barrier and prevent the Colour Support Shampoo working to its full potential.
Bumble and Bumble is available online and at Peter Mark Salons nationwide.
