The Vodafone Ireland Foundation, the charitable arm of Vodafone, announced the 30 winners of its first ever World of Difference 3 month paid placement programme. The programme provides 30 people with the chance to ‘donate’ themselves to charitable causes and take up a 3 month paid placement with an Irish charity of their choice, funded by the Vodafone Ireland Foundation.

A panel of judges made up of Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin, Frances Black, Darren Byrne, Jason O’Brien and 2FM DJ Jenny Huston had the difficult task of choosing the winners.

Winners included Christine Priestley, who previously received support from The Jack and Jill Foundation, will now be able to give back to the charity through her 22 years of experience in PR. Ciara Tallon, with almost a decade’s experience in the charity sector, will be working on the ground in Nepal for the Umbrella Foundation, identifying key areas to maximise funding potential. Marlene Linnie will be taking time out from working with Vodafone to join the DSPCA as their Business Development Specialist.
