So after four weeks of auditions, the final 12 in Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model have been revealed and they include two Irish girls. Yes, two budding Irish models have made the cut in BINTM (Mondays, 9pm, Sky Living). The final line-up of thirteen girls features Dubliner Hannah Devane and Greystones girl Joanne Northey.
Hannah and Joanne were chosen by supermodel Elle Macpherson and the show’s judges, Grace Woodward, Charley Speed, and Julien MacDonald, to go through to the next stage of the competition, having impressed judges at the Dublin auditions. This is the first year the show’s auditions have taken place in the Republic of Ireland. Both girls will now compete with the other finalists to become Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model.
Hannah, aged 21, cites her favourite designers as Diane von Furstenberg, and the Chloë label (love her already!). She was approached by Elle at Brown Thomas when she was street casting for the show, and said “I was completely overwhelmed when Elle came up to me!”
Arts and Craft student Joanne is 19 years old. Her favourite model is Karlie Kloss, however she says her style icon is “herself” (interesting!).
