The much anticipated cosmetics and skincare line from the master of all things luxe has arrived. I was taken on a walk through of the 132 items. It is as sumptuous and decadent as we have come to expect of Mr Ford. Rich, saturated pigments and interesting, original colours. True to his word, a lot of thought, quality and expense went in to the entire range, from the packaging to the product.

Its expensive, naturally, nothing about Tom Ford the brand is cheap, but at least you get a lot of bang for your buck. The shadows are bigger than any other quads on the market, as is the foundation stick. While we are talking about the Foundation Stick, fans of Bobbi Browns Foundation Stick will like this softer version, plus it’s a whole 6grams bigger. To be honest, it was about the only thing I wasn’t a major fan of. That and the blushers were lovely, very soft and easy to use but at that price point you could find as good elsewhere for less. Same goes for the lip gloss, gorgeous but only if you have the cash for it, otherwise save it and slash it on the Traceless Liquid Foundation with SPF15 instead.

What stood out and what I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED were the brow pencils, so innovative. The shape is perfect for anyone who has ever struggled with filling in their brows. It has a unique calligraphy tip, which means you would need to be visually impaired (or maybe my lovely mother) to get it wrong! The range of brushes are so soft, you could almost keep them as pets. The skincare, oh the skincare. Divine.

Generally, this is an incredible take on an already over-saturated market. The formulas are divine and the textures are foolproof. It’s for the women that loves luxury. It is not for everyone, but it is nice to finally see a little bit of glamour back on the shop floor.
