Side-twists have been a big hair trend of recent with celebs such as Elisha Cuthbert, Whitney Port and Jessica Lowndes perfecting this style. Side-Twists work well because it is a style that can be worn casually during the day or it can be incorporated into an up-style for a fab evening look.
Achieving this style looks complicated but it’s actually quite straightforward. Just follow these five simple steps and you will have side-twists like a pro in no time. Remember practice makes perfect!
1. Begin by blow-drying a texture spray into damp hair. L’Oreal’s Texture Tonic works well.
2. Make a centre parting in the hair.
3. Take a section of the hair from the top of the head and twist away from your face.
4. Follow down to behind the ear keeping the tension.
5. Secure using a Kirby grip.
As the day goes on, the style may become looser, but this will add to the over all look of your side-twists. This look is very low maintenance and is the perfect up-style for when you want to add a little glamour to an outfit.
