There was a distinct love of Irish featuring among the winners as many of our home grown brands marched ahead of International chains. Penney’s was named ‘Best overall high street store’. Awear took the award for best ‘Best Irish Label’ while Doo-Lally.com topped the poll for ‘Best Online Retailer’.
Reflecting the mood of the times ‘Ireland’s Best Boutique’ went to Limerick based ‘The Ivory Closet’ who specialise in designer dress rentals. Dublin’s Brown Sugar won ‘Best Blow Dry’ beating hairdressing giants including Peter Mark and Toni & Guy.
‘Best Highstreet Jeans’ went to highstreet giants Topshop and taking the number one spot as ‘Ireland’s Best Department Store’ is Brown Thomas who beat off some stiff competition.
‘Best Lingerie & Bra Fitting Service’ goes to Marks & Spencer while Irish company ‘Tan Organic’, backed by Gavin Duffy of RTE’s Dragon’s Den, won ‘Best Tanning Product’.
Thanks so much everyone for all your support and making our first ever Awards such a phenomenal success. We’re already planning next years Awards and so excited to make them even bigger and better!
