The New Fragrance for Men - Bleu de Chanel

Today Chanel launch their much anticipated new fragrance for men, their first new scent in over 10 years. Bleu de Chanel was created by Jacques Polge (who’s quite the pedigree and exclusive creator of Chanel fragrances since 1978). Hard to believe, the last Chanel fragrance for men, Allure Homme, was released over a decade ago, in 1999.

In typical Chanel style, the TV advert to promote the fragrance is quite the epic. Directed by none other than Academy Award winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese, it features French actor Gaspard Ulliel with soundtrack by the Rolling Stones (‘She Said Yeah’). The ad will officially be released on August 25th on the Chanel website as well as on Irish TV.

With notes of pink peppers, citrus accord, vetiver, grapefruit, cedar, labdanum, frankincense, ginger and sandal wood…It’s quite the mix and no doubt one we’ll get familiar with over the coming months and years.
