
Wellies, flapper dresses, slick bob hairstyles and vintage sportswear are all you need to pack to turn festival heads on the last day of Electric Picnic (Sunday, 5th Sept) as the Roaring 1920′s come alive with Bacardi hosting a 1920’s Costume Party as part of its Electric Picnic celebrations.
Get into the spirit of things and get you and your 1920′s ‘get-up’ to the Bacardi B-Live Arena where you’ll be treated to a complimentary Bacardi Mojito, photographed and judged by the Bacardi judges. The best costume will be presented with a shopping voucher worth €500 and a Bacardi Mojito Kit.
Bacardi have hosted legendary parties since 1862 and during the 1920s, the Edificio Bacardi de la Habana’ in Havana became a favourite venue for for international celebrities such as Bob Hope, Errol Flynn, Bing Crosby, Dorothy Lamour, Kid Chocolate and members of the Spanish royal family who regularly dropped in to sample a Bacardi Cuba Libre, Daiquiri or the classic a Bacardi Mojito. During the 1920s in America, prohibition was in force and the Art Deco building attracted large number of American tourists who flocked to Cuba to drink Bacardi cocktails.
