Who ever thought the trend for wearing underwear on the outside would be one of this season’s hottest trends? The last time we saw a shift towards lingerie as outerwear was in the 80’s and not much has changed since then in that this look can be very unforgiving. The key to creating a sexy, sultry and sassy look is to keep it subtle in terms of styling and colour (avoid red it’s too overtly sexy).

It has to be said Cheryl Cole put in a stellar first solo performance of the very catchy “Fight For This Love” on the X-Factor results show last night.
As always she looked stunning and in her element – Cheryl fans will recognize the style of her red military jacket & hat from the official video though they are not the same. If I’m being honest I’m not too keen on the side split black harem trousers (by Balmain) but she pulled them off for her performance.
What really caught my eye were her fabulous boots. They’re Alexander Wang mock croc buckle boots and are just to die for! Cherly loves her towering heels and these have a great combat edge and really worked with the outfit. A smooth black version is also available but the mock croc adds beautiful detailing.
