Twenty four year old Limerick lad Kamal Ibrahim beat 73 of the world’s most desirable men when he took the title of Mr World last March. Since then he’s been kept busy, most recently hosting the Miss Ireland competition alongside Ireland AM’s Sinead Desmond. Looking smart is part & parcel for the Limerick model, so we decided to get the inside track from the man himself…

Sharp, Sophisticated, Fitted, Contemporary & Colourful

What’s your beauty essential?
A good eye & sense of style!

What item could you not live without?
Well I’m very easy going and I find it easy to make do with what I’ve got when it comes to style.

If your house was on fire and you’d only time to save one thing, what would it be?
Myself! But if i had time to spare and could have a think about it.. well, I’d put on my most expensive suit and leave with that.

What’s top of your wish list at the moment?
Does an iPad count? I’m really getting into nice, big, heavy watches though. I have two from Armani so I thinking about starting a small collection.

Best style tip?
Style is all about expression, who you are and how you want to be viewed. No matter what your own style is always make sure its neat, presentable and respectable (even if your style is messy, fun and wild).

What’s in your man-bag right now?
My phone, wallet and keys.

Who is you style-crush?
Cheryl Tweedy – She’s stunning and stylish and SINGLE!

Worst and best shopping experiences?
Worst: I’m 12 years old running around all the discount stores in Limerick with my mom looking for the cheapest version of the same black primark shirt.
Best: Walking into the Bestseller showroom in Dublin and having the gorgeous brand manager for ‘Selected Homme’ style and supply me with all the latest pre-season stock.

Best high street store or boutique?
For quality – Brown Thomas. For Price – Will I get away with River Island?

Favourite place to shop?
Anywhere that sells ‘Selected Homme’!

What is your travel essential?
My ipod & laptop.

Fashion on the web?
I don’t really pay attention to web trends… the proof is on the streets but for advice I like askmen.com because they seem to know what they’re talking about.

Worst fashion moment?
Lol…I don’t think I’ve had one…yet!

What era of style would you most like see return to fashion?
I’m really loving the military look that’s already back in.

Finally, what do you want your style to say about you?
I want my style to tell people that I am intelligent, fun, approachable and I also mean business and can be taken seriously. I’m daring and creative and not afraid to try new things!
