Yesterday I attended the River Island SS11 womenswear preview. Inspired by the new collections and craving a fresh pop of colour in my own wardrobe, I decided to go on a mission for something fresh & colourful. Naturally I started in River Island, a place if I’m being really honest, I don’t normally gravitate to. Alas I was in for a pleasant surprise and picked up a beautiful, pillar box red cropped jacket. It’s perfect for the current balmy temperatures we’re having and the colour provides an instant sartorial pick me up.
Colour aside, I’m a sucker for detail and it was the contrasting two brown buttons on the collar and the pockets that sealed the deal. Not to mention the white & blue check lining on the inside…just what the doctor ordered!
