Dandruff while harmless can be quite embarrassing. Suffer no more with Ciara O’Shea’s top 3 tips on how to get rid of the white stuff.
1. Try Phyto’s “anti dandruff regulating shampoo”. I have had the boy in my life trialing this for the past 10 days (he had been a head and shoulders addict until I put my foot down). He’s review is not a technical one but its sturdy, he says it makes he’s scalp feel less dry, and that it doesn’t get as “itchy in between washes” which previous to using this shampoo, was an unbearable and unsightly side effect of having dry scalp. It, he claims, has halfed he’s dandruff “output”. Wash as normal, repeat application, leaving it to sit for 10mins on the second round, this helps the active ingredients to do their job properly.
2. Wash hair as normal, carefully pour cider vinegar on to the scalp and massage in. Avoiding any cuts or sores, as it will STING. Leave on for 15mins and then rinse (the vinegar smell will disappear once the hair is dry), Repeat for 7 days. The theory behind this is that dandruff is caused by a fungus. Vinegar and fungus don’t play nicely together so the result is no more of the white stuff.
3. Gently massage coconut oil mixed with a couple of drops of lemon juice into the scalp an hour or so before showering/bathing. Wrap the hair in a warm towel and let the ingredients soak in to the scalp. This will get the blood circulation going, relieve tightness and rejuvenate the scalp
