Oooh, finally the girls pull it out of the bag. Gone were the boring or bonkers looks from the previous awards shows this season and in came some serious style.

My number one for all over style was Scarlett in her figure hugging Dolce & Gabbana number (see more pics below) with hair pushed back from the face in sexy waves. The make up, was, at last, interesting and fun. Gold on the eyes offset with pink flirty but feminine lips, perfect skin and deep thick lashes.

Here’s how to recreate it in 3 easy steps.

1) Start with a primer to get the base looking as immaculate as possible. Use one pump (anymore and it will work against you and ball up in lumps). I like Shiseido’s Refining Makeup Primer. It has a light texture and smooths out effortlessly. Givenchy’s new Photo’Perfexion Light foundation is the light version to their foundation of the same name. This formula comes with a SPF10, is paraben free and helps refine pores and make redness vanish with its super soft foam applicator. I am loving it. That should have the skin singing.

2) Next on to eyes. Use a soft eyeshadow brush, or your fingers (this eye shadow is so soft that it will blend using even the most primitive of tools) with Smashbox 24K Eyeshadow, a deep yet bright gold. Pop a touch of their “Artificial Light Luminizing Primer” in to the inner corners of the eye to widen and brighten the area. It is a bright pearly powder that is essential in any make up bag. I suggest a liquid liner just at the root of the lashes to create more depth and volume. Revlon’s Colourstay Liquid Liner is amazing – it has a great felt tip pen feel to it and lots of ink without ever bleeding or creating havoc like some messy liners.

Two coats of Make up Forever “Smoky Lashes” mascara, an incredible brush and formula give instant false lashes to even the shortest and sparsest of lashes.

3) Finally on lips use a slick of Smashbox “Lip Enhancing Gloss” in Pop. A clear creamy juicy pink. Leave the cheeks bare for a modern twist.
