The lovely peeps at West Coast Cooler invited me to guest post on their site recently. Chuffed with the task at hand, I decided for my first post I’d take a look at the re-emergence of the classic white Tux jacket…

So far this year hot pants, maxi-dresses and boyfriend blazers were the most buzzed about must-haves for any going-out wardrobe. While these are all great trends (in moderation and on the right person!) they’ve simply overshadowed one of the hottest looks in womenswear this season – the return of the tux jacket!

The boyfriend blazer has been all over the highstreet and don’t get me wrong, it’s a great look and ideal for shopping or lunch with the girls. But let’s be honest it just doesn’t cut the mustard when it comes to creating a chic and stylish going out look. Quite simply, the boyfriend blazer pales in comparison to the tux jacket. As summer begins to fad and you start transitioning your wardrobe for more slightly chilly evenings, a good cream or ivory tux jacket is going to be your new VBF (very best friend!). The great thing about cream or ivory as a colour, it’s still a very summery vibe, yet a sharp tuxedo jacket will amp up any going out look.
