Up-and-coming Italian designer, Vivi Ponti, flew in to Dublin last week to exclusively preview her SS/12 collection, Vivetta. Hotly touted by Italian fashion editors as the next big thing, fans of her range include Eva Fontanelli, the editor of ELLE Italia and fashion blog The Sartorialist and Peaches Geldof (check her out below). She has quite a pedigree having worked with Roberto Cavalli as designer for 3 years and later as the head designer at Daniele Alessandrini before entering the fresh lounge “Who’s next” 2008 competition in Paris, which she won.

With a nod to the past Vivetta signature’s style is characterized by unconventional details on fresh looks with a touch of vintage. Superb creativity in detailing creates a fun and lively feeling with a mademoiselle-esque look. It’s all about combining style with the unexpected – which I love!

The designs are exclusively made in Italy both in material and production and now are stocked all over the world. All items are available in Ireland from August by ordering online at www.vivetta.it
