The latest designer to hit the virtual shelves of Asos is London-based Ashish Gupta. Three times winner of the British Fashion Council New Generation award, Ashish made his first flamboyant appearance at London Fashion week in 2004. And boy, does this man love sequins! Known for his eccentric and eclectic aesthetic, his designs have drawn comparisons to Andy Warhol for incorporating commercial and mass-culture imagery. For his latest line for AW11 Ashish plays on a fusion of Western and Eastern cultures, taking inspiration from punk street culture, featuring lots of tartan and plaid with a grungy edge. Oh and did I mention sequins? TONS of them!
