The official launch party of Miss Ireland 2010 took place at Bucks New Townhouse in association with Boyle Sports on Tuesday night and It was a veritable who’s who of Ireland fashion.

This is a very special year for Miss Ireland as 2010 marks the 60th anniversary of the Miss World Pageant and competition has already stepped up a notch in Ireland with the highest ever number of entries. Miss Ireland will be crowned at a formal black-tie ceremony at the D4 Berkeley Court Hotel hosted by TV3’s Sinead Desmond and current Mr World Kamal Ibraham.

Special guests Edele and Keely Lynch formerly of multi-platinum selling band ‘Bewitched’ will be making their debut performance as the ‘Barberellas’ performing their new single “Let your Body Rock” from their new album which will be released in February 2011.

A star studded guestlist and judging panel is expected with fashion designer Synan O’Mahony, Former Miss Ireland and celebrity novelist Amanda Brunker, TV3s Elaine Crowley and Virginia Macari all expected to attent.

Guests will be treated to an Ice Tropez reception and four course meal. The winner of Miss Ireland 2010 will receive a lucrative modeling contract and a host of prizes including jewellery, gowns, Waterford Crystal, a Lili Forberg portfolio shoot, beauty and hair products from Sponsors Bucks Townhouse, Vanity Tan, Beeline Healthcare, Tropez, Essence, Stephens Green Shopping Centre. Miss Ireland 2010 will then go to China in October to represent her Country in the Miss World Pageant.
