Valentine’s Day is almost here – don’t know about you ladies but doesn’t it seem unfair that the most romantic day of the year should fall in the depths of winter, when we’ve all let our health and beauty regimes slip? Don’t worry, for glossy, gorgeous hair that’s just asking for someone to run their fingers through it, just follow these top tips from celebrity hairstylist and Head & Shoulders brand ambassador Melissa Brown before your hot date and you’ll feel like a goddess on the fourteenth. BLOW HIM AWAY – Achieve the perfect blow dry at home.

1. Shampoo (twice) and condition you hair
2. Sit down in front of a mirror
3. Prep your hair with mousse to hold your finished style
4. Ruff dry hair to remove excess water
5. Once your hair is almost dry section it off
6. Use a large round brush while blow drying hair – take your time!
7. Section by section, blow dry hair giving root lift
8. Remember to point the dryer down the hair shaft to smooth hair and give shine
9. Finish your look with shine serum

2. Prep clean dry hair with mousse to hold your finished style
3. Use a large barrel tongs
4. Tong hair from root to tip and leave in an almost coil shape
