A new fashion accessories boutique has opened in the heart of Kilkenny, called Kwilla. Located at 23, Rose Inn Street, Kwilla is dedicated to providing style-conscious ladies with design led fashion accessories exclusive to Kilkenny and all at affordable prices. Featuring a wide range of products including rings, necklaces, sunglasses, gorgeous leather bags, classic eel skin bags, wallets and purses.

Business owner Shannon Forrest, a recent graduate of Marketing, Swansea Metropolitan University, decided to set up Kwilla on her return to Ireland a few months ago. Shannon has always been interested in fashion, an interest that took her to Cork College of Commerce to study Advertising and PR before heading to Swansea. She retained her link to the fashion industry in Ireland while across the water through modelling and appearing in TV shows like The Apprentice and Ireland AM. Coming back to Ireland and opening her own store was a dream come true.

“Kwilla is now open for business and I look forward to meeting all those interested in fashion in Kilkenny and beyond in the next few months. We may be in a recession but that never stopped women from accessorising. We have a great product range from sunglasses to jewellery and pieces from really interesting designers such as ‘Makki’ whom Kate Middleton adored, brilliant handbags from Helen Rochfort, and much more, all at great prices. Pop in and see us soon’ said Forrest, who will be on hand in the store offering fashion advice and product knowledge, as well as managing all aspects of her new start up business.

And what’s in a name? Kwilla may sound unusual but it’s actually a phonetic spelling of ‘coille’, the Irish word for ‘forest’. Kwilla is open Monday to Saturday 9:30am – 6pm and Sunday 12pm – 6pm. Outside hours are available by appointment.
