INTRODUCING KATE MOSS FOR LONGCHAMP

Kate Moss Longchamps

Exciting news reached me today, at the Fashion Bloggers brunch kindly hosted by Arnotts (in a fab specially created brunch area for the occasion, at the back of the new Conran shop in the Henry St store – thanks to Annmarie O’Connor for organising!) that they will be stocking the much anticipated Kate Moss for Longchamp collection exclusively in Ireland from 1st March!

It’s now eight seasons since Kate Moss became the face of Longchamp – eight seasons during which that first, much talked-about campaign has blossomed into one of fashion’s most alluring and enduring partnerships. This season Kate Moss and Longchamp have taken their relationship to a new level as Kate working closely with Artistic Director Sophie Delafontaine, put her passion for fashion and her experience – of the runway and the red carpet, of travelling the world and of juggling roles as a model and a mother – into her designs.

The collection features four designs with Kate’s trademark relaxed every day style fused with the elegance you’d expect from Longchamp. More details and images after the cut

The Ladbroke bag – a slouchy, hug-me hobo inspired by the haute bohemian vibe of one of Kate’s familiar haunts, London’s famous Ladbroke Grove. The calfskin, in black or nude, is punctuated by metal eyelets and bold diagonal zippers with swinging leather tags. Like all the collection’s monochrome bags, the Ladbroke opens to reveal a racy zebra-print lining and the Kate Moss for Longchamp label, while the Longchamp signature alone is embossed on the outside.

The Golborne shopper – also in black or nude grained calfskin, is the perfect home-to-office bag, as functional as it is fashionable.

The Glastonbury – a soft, easy messenger that just asks to be slung nonchalantly across the body. In Kate’s iconic pale grey suede, in nude or black in a combination of suede and smooth calfskin – it harps back to images of Kate at Glastonbury in micro-shorts and muddy wellies.

The Gloucester duffle bag – inspired by vintage trunks with their wide straps and heavy metal buckles. Available in four colours – classic black, grey and tan, plus Kate’s favourite vibrant red. Reflecting Kate’s love of bold animal prints, the Gloucester bag is also available as a limited edition in zebra-styled calfskin with black cowhide trim.
