The overall winner of the Hennessy Best Dressed Lady 2012 in association with Design Centre went to Margaret Connolly from Mullingar. Margaret’s prize included a voucher for €7,000 to spend in Design Centre. Margaret impressed judges, international fashion commentator, Godfrey Deeny, Ashling Kilduff from Design Centre and Caroline Sleiman from Moët Hennessy with her cream dress and coat by Lilli Ann, brown suede gloves and brown bag, both from House of Fraser and shoes from Barratts.
This year’s head judge was International fashion commentator Godfrey Deeny. As Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Hommes International, Godfrey has met or interviewed almost every designer of note including Burberry’s Christopher Bailey, Karl Lagerfeld and Giorgio Armani and was delighted to be involved in this year’s Hennessy Best Dressed Lady competition.
Speaking of the winner, Godfrey Deeny commented, “There was a fantastic atmosphere at this year’s Hennessy Gold Cup with everyone enjoying the glamour and the racing. We had a difficult task to choose just one winner from our fabulous finalists but I’m sure you all agree that Margaret is a worthy winner.”
Guest’s spotted enjoying the day were Desperate Housewife Dana Delany, Baz Ashmawy, Liz O’Donnell, Jenny Buckley, Tamso Doyle from Horse Racing Ireland, Gillian Walsh, Paula Geraghty and singer Camille O’Sullivan.
