Cheryl Cole was making quite the statement in Cannes last week and here’s how to emulate her high impact look.
PREP is vital, this look will not work with low rent skin.
Wax brows yourself with Parissas genius “Brow Shaper” – Tiny strips that will evaporate any unwanted hairs or blonde “fluff” (invisible hairs that make the brow bone look messy)
Strivectin Eye Cream. A lightweight full force eye cream that stop wrinkles in their tracks while instantly hydrating the eye area.
Institute Estederm Vit C cream. The first Vit C cream I have know to work miracles for all skin types, even excema sufferers. Leave the skin plump & glowing.
Lanolips, 100% pure, 100% natural and 100% Ultra Pure Medical Grade Lanolin. This is the best lip balm I have ever tried, ever.
“NO NO!” for any spot emergencies. 2 zaps of this infrared light and watch those pimples disappear. It works so well that I had to haul it to Italy with me for a client last week!
THE BASE
YSL Perfect Touch Radiant Brush Foundation to achieve a medium coverage. Brush it on to the skin and pat it in with your fingers. Its got radiance and hold. My two favourite things.
YSL Touche Eclat under the eyes, around the nose and under the arch of the brow to help lift and sculpt the face. Essential.
Powder sets the look and creates an even base for contour blending later on. Use “Get Even Pressed Powder” by Benefit. It blots away shine & discolouration.
Urban Decays “Baked Bronzer for the face and body” will help carve out Cheryl like cheekbones. Just remember to build up slowly to avoid any tracker marks! Personally I think Cheryl has gone a little contour crazy here, a softer look is more flattering.
Highlight subtly on the top of the cheekbones, cupids bow and bridge of the nose. Urban Decays “Urban Glow” is a cream highlight that gives an expensive sheen to the skin. You shouldn’t have any trouble blending this provided you have not been too heavy handed with the setting powder.
EYES
Rim the eye with the bronzer we used earlier. Use a soft shadow brush for this. Japonesque do a great affordable range. This will give the dark shadow a buffer zone and give the dark eye a softer feel.
Use Topshop gel liner in “ink” as shadow along the lid as well as to line the entire inside of the eye. Take a blender brush and blend the edges softly, work in to the lid as otherwise the black will “grow” and the look will take on another feel entirely.
Urban Decays Glide on Shadow pencil in “Midnight Cowboy” used in the inner corner of the eyes will make them pop and complement the smokey shadows perfectly. Use the same product in the shade“ Rehab”, under the bottom lash line. Its a beautiful taupe that contracts the warm shadow on the socket line and adds definition.
Lash Perfect false lashes in “Delight” are the more wearable version of Cheryls. Build them up with layers of YSL “False Lash Effect Mascara” top and bottom.
LIPS
Use Revlon Just Bitten stain in “Passion” to fill in the centre of the mouth. Paint Revlon’s Colour Burst Plum on top with a lip brush. Go right out to the edges as this will give you the effect of a liner without any of the hassle. The combined colours give the effect of a fuller plumper pout.
