My my, how Hermione Granger has grown! Actress Emma Watson has shed her long locks and with them, the character that made her famous. With the last of the Harry Potter installments filmed and in the can, Ms. Watson felt it was time to shake things up. “I’ve wanted to do it since I was about 16, and when Harry Potter ended in June, I just needed a change. It was quite symbolic for me”.
Symbolic and hot! The pixie cut is very fashionable and marks Emmas’ transition from child actress to bona-fide movie star. When Emma showed up at the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in a vintage lace and feather ensemble, she proved her fashion credentials as well as her acting ones.
At the tender age of 20, she is a fashion icon and we could all do with stealing her style! But if you’re not brave enough to go for the chop, then take Emma’s lead in tapping into the biggest trend for the Xmas party season: feathers. From dresses to bags to accessories, feathers are everywhere and flying off the shelves! They’re elegant and sexy at the same time and hark back to the golden age of the flapper girls. So ladies, don your finest feathers, strut like a proud peacock and get on that dance floor and shake your tail feather!
