While I’ve never used fake tan myself, I’m reliably informed by trusty fashion-conscious friends who’ve trialed this next product, that it rocks, quite literally.

Actress (and HelpMyStyle.ie Beauty contributor) Rachel Kavanagh is on the verge of revolutionising the tanning market with her very own retail line of Rockstar Tan that recently hit stores nationwide. It claims to achieve that ‘Salon Look’ at home and by all accounts it appears to meet the grade.

Working with a specialist in the field of self tan in the USA, Rachel created the Rockstar Tan Retail Range with the same unique formula that her salon solution is based on – boasting the most skin nurturing and Organic ingredients. All products can be used on the face and body, and as the self-tanning products react to your natural skin colour for a customised golden glow, they suit all skin tones. Which is music to my ears as the tango-ed look is just horrendous!

Whats more, all products in the Rockstar range have no tell tale smell as they are scented with organic fragrances of raspberry and almond essences. Also available as a retail product for the first time, is a protective barrier cream – Exposure. It is applied to delicate areas of the body such as hands and feet to prevent them from taking too much colour and resulting in that tell tale orange look we all hate.

There are five products in the new range and everything is under €30. Available in all good pharmacies and department stores nationwide including Arnotts and Clery’s.
