This September, Indigo & Cloth at No 27 South William Street will be hosting an exclusive collaboration pop-up store with Fred Perry Laurel Wreath – the brand’s premium range. Launched on September 1st, the temporary store embraces the brand in a curated space. Throughout the month, there will be an original mix of product and one off events taking place for the store’s duration, with the pop up shop space styled with beautiful vintage shop fixtures and bespoke Laurel Wreath dressing.

The collection, stocked exclusively in Ireland at Indigo & Cloth, is a more fashion interpretation of the brand with less focus on the sporting heritage. As part of the rebranding the 16 leaf Laurel has been removed and replaced with the 30 leaf Laurel. The collection keeps the same clean Mod silhouette.
Story-wise for AW11 two distinct themes dominate – texture and tartan – forming separate capsule collections.
Texture is all about juxtaposition of fabrics and knits to create depth. Heavy piques in textured knits within polo shirts, washed Oxfords with pique panels, mixed gauges, contrasting knit stitches, muted marls and vivid embroideries. It’s tactile and subtle.
Tartan is the other key theme. Fred Perry has long been associated with tartan, so the archive provided key inspiration with heritage patterns like a dark sherry tartan and our classic red Stewart glimpsed briefly in jacket linings or trims, or made the centre of attraction in all-over tartan shirts. You can be as discreet or as bold as you like.
Key colours for AW11 include royal and inky blue, port and a wide range of subtle grey marls.
