Building on the success of last year, the 2011 Gigginstown Midlands National Day was one of the largest to date with many women dressed to impress for the ‘Best Dressed’ competition, sponsored by Khan and Wineport Lodge. Claire Slevin from Horseleap was named ‘Best Dressed’ on the day selected by the judges that included the Sunday Independent’s Literary Editor Madeleine Keane, the Gloss Magazine’s Editor Sarah McDonnell, the Irish Independent columnist and TV Style Guru Darren Kennedy and celebrated, provocative poet and former Vogue editor Christina Reihill. Wearing a turquoise houndstooth patterned jacket and skirt with a co-ordinated fascinator, Claire Slevin was chosen based on her outfit being deemed the most appropriate for the event and it’s retro feel.
