Fat Face recently celebrated the opening of their fifth store in Ireland in the Dundrum Town Centre. I have to be honest, as a store I find it can be a bit hit and miss but their latest collection for Winter has surprised me and features some really nice active lifestyle clothing for men and women.

Doing what they do best, the menswear collection is cool with stylish details for outdoor types including traditional chunky buttons and contrast knit panels along side plaid check shirts. Luxury leather is also offered in jackets.

A more subtle approach is adopted for this season’s womenswear collections. The range has a strong element of folk which I find quite refreshing in the face of what is on offer on the rest of the highstreet at the moment.

A heavy emphasis is placed on knit and construction, with exciting contemporary shapes. The plaid theme is mirrored for the women as well as bold checks through some of the shirts – a modern take on tradition especially when teamed up with a gilet or padded jacket for when the cold really bites.
