Cocktails were order of the night as the Elaine Curtis kicked off the celebrations for her 10 year anniversary this week. The diamond anniversary fashion show took place in the Tower, Dinn Ri, show casing the finest of Irish and International fashion for Autumn Winter 2011. Fans of the fashion mecca will be only too familiar with the highly anticipated shows Elaine puts on every season as the show has been supported over the years by a host of personalities, including Lisa Duffy, Pamela Flood, Mary Kennedy and Kathryn Thomas. The ever Sonya Lennon, co-presenter of RTE’s Off the Rails, hosted the 10 year show wearing Belgian designer Sandria Fasoli and exclusively announced the boutiques plans to relocate to a new store in the coming weeks just in time for the launch of their new online shopping facility making the boutique accessible to fans nationwide and the world over!

The crowd was treated to a sophisticated mix of prints and textured coats from the fashion houses of Orla Kiely, Hoss Intropia, Philosophy di Alberta Feretti, Sonia by Sonia Rykiel and the queen of the dress, Diane von Furstenberg. Other looks for Autumn/Winter included capes, thick knit scarves, ladylike pencil skirts with silk blouses and floral print dresses from Electronic Sheep, By Malene Birger, Rutzou and Sandria Fasoli. The show closed with a stunning collection of heavily fringed and textured jackets, tops and full length dresses from the amazing Tim Ryan.

The make-up look for the night was dewy skin and a heavy lip applied by Warpaint make up artist Lisa O’Connor and hair was swept to the side in a loosely teased fishtail braid styled by Peter Mark’s own Michael Doyle. Models that took to the catwalk included Yomiko, Baiba, Karen Fitzpatrick, Sarah Morrisey, Adrienne Murphy, Lydia Turley, Tara O’Farrell and Rozanna Purcell.

The party continued into the wee hours of the morning and with Smirnoff Vodka Mojitos flowing the glamorous crew reflected on 10 years of fashion highlights and the anticipation of the next 10 years of fantastic fashion from this superb boutique.
