Dirty Dancing touched down at Dublins Grand Canal Theatre last week with Phil Michael Jones as Johnnie and Charlotte Gooch as Penny while Emily Holt playing Baby. Having broke box office records in 2006 in London’s West End when it opened with advance ticket sales of over 15 million euro, the show has since played to over 1 million. Gracing the red carpet for it’s Irish debut were Gay Byrne, Sinead Desmond, Joe Duffy Glenda Gilson, Karen Koster, Valerie Roe and sister Gillian Quinn, Jenny Buckley and Mairead Farrell .The show runs at until Saturday 25th Feb 2012.
