Whether you are a fully fledged makeup freelancer or a Saturday night starter, this is for you. Christmas is one of the best times of year to revamp your kit and breath a new lease of life in to your makeup bag. You get so much more bang for your buck.
Here is our Resident Pro Make Up artist Ciara O’Shea’s top picks.

6 creamy, blendable long-wearing pencils. Ideal for your kit/travel. I like that I can take a little pack like this and create strong, bold, dramatic looks. Dark metallic purple, navy blue, silver (all new), black with gold flecks, turquoise with silver flecks and copper complete the set.

Face, cheek, eyes and brows are covered in this 5 piece set. 4 of the brushes are double ended, which you will find improves your blending as it increases your speed (perfect for beginners/those struggling to perfect the smokey eye) and one is a full finishing brush. This is incredible quality and value for money.
6 cool shades, ranging from light to dark in varying degrees of white, grey, silver and charcoals this is ideal. Its a one stop shop for all your party needs. I also like that it’s not another palette of neutrals. It also wins on how light it is.
6 shades of cool colour in various textures from cream to sparkle via satin and matte. This also comes in warmer tones entitled “Drowning in Flames”, all designed by the acclaimed director Wong Kar Wai. Get it before its gone.

I am particularly impressed with Laura’s collection this season. In this set you get 3 mini expert brushes, 6 eyeshadow colours, from cool plums to warm browns, 3 cake liners in Expresso, Ebony and Burgundy and 2 cheeks colours, one pink, one peach, all housed in a faux snakeskin organiser. Get out and get it. Incredibly useful.
