DECLUTTER YOUR LIFE

Yesterday I finally got around to tackling my wardrobe for a long overdue spring clean. I’m generally quite good when it comes to hanging up /sorting my clothes but part of my problem stems from working in TV. I’ve a personal rule that I never wear the same outfit twice on screen. In theory this is great but in practice it means I’m constantly introducing new clothes to my closet. So at the moment, I’ve at least a dozen practically brand new shirts, sweaters, cardigans etc that I’ve worn only once. MAKEUP TRENDS FOR SPRING SUMMER 2010

By Makeup Professional Ciara O’Shea

Girls this season think rebellion. Wear make up with a sense of ownership, a “what are you looking at attitude” rather than “look at me“. Colour features heavily but don’t get confused thinking it is heavy colour. It is colour viewed through a smoke screen – see through and romantic. Think coral, pink, lavender, yellow/gold and plum/burgundy. Raw naked skin set against upbeat colours bring spring summer to a new destination this season. Heavy foundation is a no no.

The other big trend is hard, luxury, rebellion. Own it. Its all about individuality. Work that anti establishment look

Jennifer Aniston's Style

DA’ HACK OF YOU, JENNIFER ANISTON!

I recently spent an afternoon getting stuck into some old family albums and came across some of the most cringe-worthy photos you could possible imagine! The style was hideous, no more so than a photo of yours truly decked out from head-to-toe in stone wash denim. I’m talking jeans teamed with denim shirt, denim jacket and, I don’t know where they came from but yes, denim runners! In my defence I was only 13 years old…

Underwear Outerwear

UNDERWEAR AS OUTERWEAR

Who ever thought the trend for wearing underwear on the outside would be one of this season’s hottest trends? The last time we saw a shift towards lingerie as outerwear was in the 80’s and not much has changed since then in that this look can be very unforgiving. The key to creating a sexy, sultry and sassy look is to keep it subtle in terms of styling and colour (avoid red it’s too overtly sexy).
